01Philosophy

A house is built once. It should be built exactly.

Alex Gomez

Alex Gomez began on site as a carpenter. He still reads a set of drawings as a sequence of joints to be made.

The studio is deliberately small. We take on four residences a year so that each one has his attention every week.

We work for the drawing, not around it. When a detail cannot be built as drawn, the architect hears it from us first.

“He answered every question before we knew to ask it.”

Architects and designers we build for.

Most of our work comes through the architect. These studios have trusted us with their drawings more than once.
